The increasing global environmental, social and economic challenges we face demand a new worldview that shifts from viewing nature as a resource to nature as a living system. Rather than "taking" from the natural world, we have a moral imperative to "give" back. Developing this new perspective, an eco-centric ethic, emphasizes a regenerative approach in which we not only restore damaged ecosystems, but enhance the biodiversity, economic vitality and social fabric of the places we inhabit.

Andrés Edwards is an educator, award-winning author, media designer, presenter and sustainability consultant. He is founder and president of EduTracks, a firm specializing in developing education programs and consulting services on sustainable practices for green building and business projects. He has worked as producer, exhibit developer and consultant for projects in natural history, biodiversity and sustainability, while also giving interviews, lectures and presentations.
